The 2012 Ford Fiesta might be built for the road but it definitely takes its inspirations from the flying machines that blaze the runway. In that respect, expanded sports appearance package for the SES trim in the Fiesta lineup bestows a premium racy appeal to an already neat looking car. The transformation starts from the front where the standard lamps are covered in black surrounds and come with an option of surrounding the LED lamps in the same manner. Similarly menacing looking surrounds can been seen on the grille, around the windows, side view mirrors and rear spoiler. To unlock enhanced off-the-line acceleration, the sports package augments the 5-speed manual gearbox with a 4.5:1 final drive ratio.
The overall quality of the Fiesta 2012 models can be characterized by some eye-catching kinetic design, relatively quiet interiors and driving dynamics which are engaging and safety laden at the same time. The noise reduction inside the cabin is possible partly due to the new windshield lamination and partly due to tune-ups done to the powertrain of the car. Plus, special sound absorbing padding, both inside the roof pillars and behind the instrument panel minimizes much of engine noise up front. On the same lines, the driving dynamics have been given a boost by including features like EPAS (Electric Power Assisted Steering), sturdier bushings and springs along with dampers optimized to Fiesta’s road skills.
